Frequently asked questions
What does Payday CF do?
Payday CF organizes income and bills into pay windows so you can see planned cash flow, extra money, hold-over amounts, savings projections, debt information, and analysis. It is a planning tool; it does not connect directly to a bank, move money, or provide financial advice unless the app explicitly adds those capabilities.
How are pay windows calculated?
Each pay window is based on your configured income schedule and dates. Bills are assigned to the relevant window according to their schedule and due date. Check your income cadence, payroll anchor date, bill due date, bill frequency, and effective or expiration dates.
Why does my current balance or Extra look different?
Check income amounts and effective dates, recurring bills, paid or unpaid status, deferred bills, savings transfers, money pulled from savings, hold-over from the previous window, and your opening bank balance and opening date. The current window’s hold-over is reserved for the next window and may not be spendable current cash.
What is hold-over?
Hold-over parks money from one pay window so it can carry into a future window with heavier expenses. You can review the suggested amount and accept or adjust it. Hold-over is an internal planning allocation, not a new source of income.
What is Potential savings ahead?
Potential savings ahead is a projection of surplus that may be available after recommended hold-over amounts are covered. It is a planning estimate; it does not mean money has already been transferred to a savings account. If the app shows per-window recommendations, accept or enter the transfer amount for it to become a saved planning adjustment.
Why do I see a savings recommendation but no money moved?
Payday CF does not move money automatically unless the Elucidatix project explicitly provides that feature. Verify whether the window’s “to savings” amount was accepted or saved, whether the app shows an actual savings transfer, and whether your bank shows a separate transaction.
How do I update my balances?
Open Settings to update Stats since or balances-as-of date, bank account balance, and savings account balance. These values establish the starting point for the app’s analysis and cash-flow calculations.
How do I fix a bill or mark it paid?
Open the relevant inventory item and check its amount, frequency, due date or day of month, category, effective date, expiration date, and debt setting. If available, bill overrides and deferrals are window-specific planning changes. Recording a payment may use an actual amount and can affect window totals; Payday CF does not verify payments with a bank.
How do statement uploads work?
Statement uploads are optional. Do not upload documents containing information you do not want stored in the service. Redact full account numbers and unrelated sensitive information where possible.
How do shared budgets work?
If shared budgets are enabled, a budget owner can invite another user by email. Share only with people you trust. For access problems, confirm the invitee created or signed into a Payday CF account, the invitation used the correct email address, and the owner has not removed access.
How do I stop notifications?
Disable bill reminders in the app’s notification settings or in your device settings. If available, adjust the reminder hour in Settings.
I cannot sign in. What should I try?
Confirm the email address, enter verification details correctly, update to the latest app version, check your internet connection, and close and reopen the app. Never send a password, verification code, or authentication token to support. Contact us if the issue continues.
How do I delete my account or data?
Read the Privacy Policy, then send an account or data deletion request to info@elucidatix.com. Identity verification may be required, and limited data may be retained where legally required or needed for security, fraud prevention, or recordkeeping.
